“We’re thinking of Jules”; “Forever in our hearts”: the F1 world salutes Bianchi’s memory, ten years after his death

On July 17, 2015, Jules Bianchi lost his life nine months after his terrible accident in Japan.

On October 5, 2014, Jules Bianchi suffered a terrible accident in the Suzuka deluge. In extremely difficult conditions, the Frenchman collided with the crane that was removing Adrian Sutil‘s Sauber. The Frenchman was placed in a coma and fought for his life for almost nine months. Sadly, his death was announced nine months later, on July 17, 2015, in Nice.

Ten years on, the paddock remembers the Frenchman, who would have turned 36 on August 3. Starting with the official F1 account. “We’re thinking of Jules Bianchi. Today, and every day”.

His former teammate at Marussia, Max Chilton, sounded a similar note. “10 years already, but we haven’t forgotten you”, posted the Briton on Instagram.

His father, Philippe, also paid tribute to his son on social networks. “10 years already today that you joined the world of stars but you were already one. You remain in my heart every day, I miss you so much I love you my son. Thank you to all those who will have a new thought for you, all those who love him and don’t worry you’re still living among us thanks to the beautiful actions you allow us to do”.

Ferrari, the team that trained Bianchi, also had a thought for its former driver. “Ten years, Jules will remain forever in our hearts”.
