Jules Bianchi’s stolen go-kart has been found
A week after reporting the theft, Jules Bianchi’s father Philippe shared his “immense joy” on his Facebook page on Tuesday at having found the young champion’s go-kart.
Without specifying the circumstances surrounding the return of the kart, which had been stolen during a burglary, Philippe Bianchi thanked the Brignoles police on Tuesday. The father of the Formula 1 driver, who died at the age of 25, made no secret of his “immense joy” and “immense relief” at having the stolen kart returned. Several go-karts belonging to his grandsons and a mini-motorcycle are still missing, but the Bianchi family, who live in Brignoles, are hopeful that these items, which are mainly of sentimental value, will also be found.
A week ago, Philippe Bianchi made a heartbreaking appeal to the burglars: “You have reopened a wound. You have stolen a memory. Some things cannot be bought, cannot be resold… and should never be stolen.”
