10 years ago, Jules Bianchi passed away

10 years ago, on July 17, 2015, Jules Bianchi left us after his terrible accident at the Japanese Grand Prix nine months earlier.

On July 17, 2015, Jules Bianchi left us after a long struggle following his terrible accident at the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka. The Frenchman, a Marussia driver, had been taken to a nearby hospital before being repatriated to France.

After a successful career in the European single-seater series, including the Formula 3 Euro Series title (2009 champion), Le Niçois joined the Ferrari fold that same year, and seemed destined one day to drive for the Scuderia, which has since supported him throughout his career.

After a runner-up title in the F.R 3.5 class in 2012 and a position as a test driver with Force India, Jules Bianchi made his F1 racing debut with the Marussia team in 2013. It was on the streets of the Principality of Monaco the following year that he achieved a genuine feat, taking ninth place.

On this July 17, 2025, the AUTOhebdo editorial team would like to pay tribute once again to Jules Bianchi.
